Our engineering team is hybrid and meets in-person one to two days a week.
 
About the Role
As the senior software engineering manager, you will be a key player in building and contributing to our platform and product roadmap, shaping our technology strategy, and mentoring talented engineers. You are motivated by building effective engineering teams and driven to roll up your sleeves and dive into code when necessary.
 
Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining our software and APIs for browser threat detection and response.

  • Leading engineering initiatives and projects like architectural changes.

  • Provide technical leadership and help us build a diverse engineering team with a wide range of skills and expertise.

  • Designing data processing pipelines that are scalable and reliable.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve the development process and productivity.

  • Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, such as the product roadmap and progress updates.

 
Qualifications

  • Background: 5+ years in software engineering with demonstrated success working for fast-growing companies, building engineering teams, and adapting to the needs of a company as it grows.

  • Team development: 3+ years leading/managing teams of 3+ engineers. Ability to set and track goals with team members, delegate intelligently, offer engineering advice, deliver frequent and transparent feedback and ensure a small engineering team delivers quality results.

  • Strong programming skills: Success in building software products from the ground up with an emphasis on architecture and backend programming languages. Experience developing software and APIs with technologies like TypeScript, Node.js, Express, NoSQL databases, and Amazon Web Services.

  • Project management: Lead projects with a customer-centric focus, passion for problem-solving, and dedication to continually enhancing processes and procedures.

  • Domain expertise: Strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest user-facing security threats and attack methods. Domain knowledge not required but preferred.
